Approximately 5,200 fans will be allowed to attend the Carolina Panthers' home game against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4.

The decision follows a decision by Gov. Roy Cooper, announced Tuesday, to allow spectators to fill 7 percent of seats in outdoor stadiums beginning Oct. 2. The decision also applies to college stadiums.

Cooper said he made the announcement early to give teams and venues time to prepare for ticket sales.

The Panthers (0-2) host the Cardinals (2-0) on Oct. 4.

The team will make tickets available to Permanent Seat License holders, based on seniority. Those fans can buy a two-game ticket package, with an option to add the game against the Cardinals.

Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte seats about 75,000. Fans will be required to wear face masks and practice social distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
