NOTES: This is the final event before the start of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. ... Thomas has already secured the No. 1 seed for the playoffs along with the $2 million bonus for leading the Wyndham Rewards challenge. ... Brooks Koepka is making his first start in the event since 2015 as he attempts to improve his No. 92 spot in the FedEx Cup rankings. ... Poston, a North Carolina native, earned his first PGA Tour victory by shooting a 62 on Sunday last year and was the first player since Lee Trevino in 1974 to win a 72-hole tournament without a single bogey or worse. ... Brandt Snedeker shot an opening-round 59 en route to winning in 2018. ... Sergio Garcia enters the week 134th in the standings and must get inside the top 125 to qualify for the first leg of the playoffs. ... Sedgefield is the only Donald Ross original design that serves as a regular PGA TOUR venue. ... The past four event winners have each shot 21-under-par or better. Henrik Stenson (258 in 2017) and Poston share the tournament scoring record.

BEST BETS: Webb Simpson (1100 at DraftKings) has seven top-10 finishes in 11 starts at the Wyndham, including a win in 2011 and a pair of runner-up finishes the past two years. His scoring average in his past 12 rounds a Sedgefield is 65.25. ... Koepka (1200) is playing in a sixth consecutive event, but has a long history of middling results in non-marquee Tour events. ... Justin Rose (2200) is coming off a ninth-place finish at the PGA Championship. ... Patrick Reed (1700) earned his first PGA Tour victory at the Wyndham in 2013, beating Jordan Spieth in a playoff. ... Tommy Fleetwood (2200) is playing for the fourth consecutive week as he seeks his first win on U.S. soil. ... Brendon Todd (3500), who already has two wins on the season, held a share of the first-round lead at the PGA Championship and is from nearby Raleigh, as is Simpson. ... Snedeker is a two-time winner of the event (5500).

Seeking her third victory in as many weeks, Kang leads the USA Solheim Cup team standings with 188 points, well ahead of No. 2 Marina Alex (85). ... The average age of winners on tour this year is 28.3. ... Hur set the tournament scoring record of 20-under 264 last year but will not defend her title due to travel concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. ... Past champions in the field include Ariya Jutanugarn (2018) and Mi Hyang Lee (2017). ... The event is held at the same course as the European Tour's Scottish Open scheduled for October.

Brett Quigley has four top-10 finishes this season and leads the tour with an average of 5.47 birdies per round.
